Spark Guide
Jessica is a proud mother of two and has been working with children in a “traditional” setting since 2009. She has been an active member of the STEM GEMS of St. Lucie County and a Girl Scout Troop leader since 2017. After meeting Allyson & Josh at a local event, she realized that Acton Academy truly embodies the meaning of learning. Becoming an Acton Guide just had to be part of her next Big Adventure, with the hope of helping to expand.
After becoming inspired by parenthood, I devoted years to teaching young children in various settings, including preschool and K-8 schools, including those with special needs.
Despite my love for teaching, I began feeling disillusioned. I stepped back to homeschool my own children, discovering the limitations of traditional education. This experience deepened my desire for a more meaningful approach.
Serendipitously, I found Acton Academy at a STEM Fest and became an apprentice Guide at their Port St. Lucie campus.
Now on a personal quest to transform education, I aim to open my own Acton Academy, where intrinsic learning and individual growth are paramount.
